The Wedding Flower Checklist: Here’s What You Really Need

Are you sick and tired of trying to figure out what flower arrangements you need to create a truly luscious & dreamy wedding day? Here's a helpful checklist to guide your planning:

Personal Flowers

  • Bridal bouquet

  • Bridesmaids’ bouquets

  • Buttonholes for groom and groomsmen

    • Consider getting an extra buttonhole for the groom for after the ceremony ends and before photos. These tend to get squished after all the hugging pre-ceremony and we want to look our best in photos!

Ceremony Flowers

  • Luscious ceremony feature

    • Whatever shape or size this takes, make sure it complements your venue & your vibe for the day

  • Aisle flowers

  • Throwing petals

  • Welcome sign flowers

Reception Flowers

  • Table arrangements

    • If you’re having share plates, aim for 1 arrangement every 3-4 seats. Alternatively, for a 50/50 dinner service I’d recommend 1 arrangement every 2-3 seats for a luscious & abundant vibe

  • Bridal table feature

  • Bar or lounge floral

  • Seating Chart installation

Everything I’ve listed above is the minimum you need (according to me) to create a really beautiful day. There are so many different sizes & styles each of these items can take shape, as well as endless possibilities for what else we can create together. Use the above as your initial guide, and always discuss directly with your florist what else they might recommend to really bring your vision to life.
